This is an annoyance in KDE on FC3:

Whenever I...

select a different window,
open a new window,
close a window,
switch to another desktop window

...on the desktop, a little gray box pops up in the upper left corner of the desktop (right below the panel) enclosing the text "The KDE Window Manager" with "activate" below it. There is a small icon of two overlapping windows in the upper left corner of the popup.

I can't seem to find any setting in Control Center which relates to this behavior and it is really annoying as it obscures anything under it. It stays on the screen for about five seconds unless clicked on.

I have found no obvious combination key+mouseclick which does anything but close the popup. The icon does nothing as far as I can tell.

Oddly this stupid thing only appears for one user. I have Googled for a solution to no avail. Any suggestions (aside from nuking my .kde directory)?
