Oh, wait.  My bad.  They don't run on x86.  But the Xserve RAID
system[1], a storage server, uses an Intel chip (the IOP 331).  I
found this from a CNET article[2].

So the quote Tracy gave, that Apple "will be switching to
Intel-compatible chips this very year" is not far from the truth.
