LVM has nothing to do with the filesystems. It only handles the block device you make the filesystem in. If you increase your logical volume you then have to go and use a filesystem-specific tool to increase the size of the file system as a separate step that LVM knows nothing about. Same for decrease, make a new fs, etc. > -Stewart "Is LVM available on SPARC Linuxes yet?" Stremler No idea. I am still wondering what will become of EVMS. A competing logical volume implementation. - -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCfIRv9PIYKZYVAq0RAsUhAJ90gPD1oEIHH/DIQzZJXG6xmNOQ1wCgiGLb UIdpFuTp6bZ4rh5o2s2Cqag= =murT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
