I have a problem. In KDE, I started a very long running process in Konsole. It's taking *forever*. Now, I'm having problems starting any programs in KDE. I don't know why, but it's not related to the Konsole business. It would, however, be fixed (I'm almost 100% certain) by restarting X. Only problem is, I have that process running. If I kill X, I kill it. If only I had used protection... er, I mean 'screen'. But it's too late for that now. So, two questions:
1) Is there a way for me to detach Konsole, a la screen, now that it's already running? Ugly hackery is welcome. 2) Would there be any problems with making Konsole launch, from now on, 'screen' instead of 'bash' ? Are there any gotchas to that? -todd -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
