I did once. Creative Labs soundcards are generally well-supported in Linux. I looked online and saw that the Audigy is one of those well-supported cards. I saw one for sale at a really good price, so I bought it, only to bring it home and find out that it was actually an Audigy "LS", and that the LS part mattered. They changed the chipset for the LS and, of course, slaughtered Linux compatibility. I will never forgive Creative for that.
