New VDSL2 Standard will Bring Fiber-Fast Broadband (http://www.convergedigest.com/blueprints/ttp03/2005ikanos1.asp?ID=188&ctgy=Loop )
Here is another article with more info............ I had heard about VDSL2 awhile back, but have not paid much attention to it. One good thing about VDSL2 is that it alleviates the telco's need to deploy fiber to the home. Thus the telcos don't have to deploy fiber at least in the near term. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Schneider" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Subject: BROADBAND GETS REALLY FAST Date: Fri, 3 Jun 2005 15:28:55 -0700 (PDT) > > > The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has ratified a new > standard that promises to boost data-transfer rates far beyond what is > available today.
