Only people that have more time for diddling than computing love
Gentoo. If you want it to "just work" pick something like Fedora or
SuSE. If you have unlimited time on your hands, like to build every
little piece of your system from scratch and spend days getting a
system to the point where you can actually do something with it, then
Gentoo is probably a good choice.
