For now, I will just upgrade all the Woody packages, and wait a month
or two.  Perhaps the best thing to do is back up anything personal and
custom, and then do a clean install of Sarge, rather than trying to do
the much-touted Debian dist-upgrade.

I _would_ like to get a newer version of the kernel so I can do bind mounts.
