That worked! Thank you. I guess the 'for' made it consider each
file. But I still don't see why the previous globbing (' script * ')
didn't work.
By the way, I never knew there was so much to ${PARAMETER}. I did
'info bash' to find out what the percent sign was for. Oh, and the
dot should be omitted before "txt". The above gives me wordfile..txt.
The wonders of bash... It makes perl look orderly.
