Hmm. I've actually heard horror stories about Qualcomm. Mainly hire/fire cycles- they hire someone for a project, then do mass layoffs when the projects are over. Care to confirm/deny if you can?

I've had 2 projects fold underneath me, to be moved to other projects
And 1 project I left just before it folded, getting a jump on all the others looking for a spot. But of course, when projects fold, there will be ppl who aren't taken to other projects, and they are let go. So I suppose your description could be interpreted as correct, if the person hired for a project couldn't find another project to move to. Now question why they couldn't find something.....
