Well, then you are arguing against just about everything that W. Edwards
Deming ever wrote. Possible, but he's got reams of data backing up his
assessments of quality and productivity. In addition, Deming points out
that manufacturing systems should be engineered such that the outputs
are as insensitive as possible to the the natural variation in inputs
(including quality of people).
