I know this seems like the wrong way to migrate, but believe me this is for the
good. We are starting with the Unix solution, and only moving if it doesn't
fill the need. It will fit the need. I just need to be able to speak the truth
when I say it can be migrated easily. I stand a better chance of winning the
business in the fist place if I can make this statement.

You will probably need to write some VB/VBA tool to do this cleanly. You
may be able to pull it off using IMAP tools. Turn IMAP on the MSES, and
use an IMAP server on the UNIX syste. You should then be able to use
your favorite scripting language to copy from one IMAP system to the other.
