I've still gotten nowhere solving this.
Everything I've seen implies that the default is to allow forwarding.
What about "AllowTcpForwarding"? Well, the default is "yes". This is
actually the item referred to above. I guess I'll try it anyway.
So, I tried it, and it made no difference.
The web has lots of suggestions that ICMP returns this message. But the
tunnel passes through the router(s) unseen, and can't be affected by it,
right? But...not knowing the exact mechanism, I think sshd on the
server does try to connect to port 3690 and I guess since we're talking
"connect" then we can still be dealing with ICMP.
I'm still looking for what's stopping this from working.
As detailed earlier, the connection terminates with "Connection closed
unexpectedly"
and the tunnel reports "channel 2: open failed: administratively
prohibited: open failed"
