I'm not sure where this thread started... but google has lit up Bryant Park (NYC) for quite a while. http://www.bryantpark.org/amenities/wireless.php It's really cool to get free broadband in the park, but due to the nature of round robin gateway, latency can be high (seconds) when the park is full. Web pages are okay, but if you are using ssh, better think about using screen. oh, there is a 9"x12" sign that says wifi sponsored by google in the park and the "agree to not do anything illegal, first web page" says google too. // George -- George Georgalis, systems architect, administrator <IXOYE>< http://galis.org/ cell:646-331-2027 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
