As many of you know, I've purchased for the club, a standalone CD/DVD
copier. Very easy to use, no computer neede, but there is software to
help a bit, but it's only for Windows.
I'm asking for a volunteer to take charge of making, selling,
distributing CDs and DVDs at the meetings and KPLUG installfest the
Saturday after our meetings.
In any case, I need to not have this responsibility in two months, so
will need to turn the equipment over to someone else by the end of
October.
I've enjoyed doing this, but it's time for me to pass the
responsibility along to someone else.
Email me, or the kplug-steer list.
Thanks,
Rich
Speaking of copies, Rich, the second set of FC3 you burned for me failed
also.
Both sets failed the built-in test that the install recommends
performing on all media prior to installing.
The first set failed that test on discs 2-4 while the second set only
failed on 2 & 3. The first set was only tested in one CD drive, whereas
I tested the second set in two different CD drives.
(It's been a couple of weeks since I got set #2 from you, but was unable
to check them until now.)
Is it safe to ignore these failures? I cannot wait much longer to get
moving on this. (I've already been delayed too long, mostly by my own
schedule.)
