Not anymore. In the corporate environment you're lucky if you don't go
through a proxy server first. Even small companies restrict outgoing
connections. I once helped oppress^H^H^H^H^H^H^H setup a small office of
only 12 internet users to restrict access to what the boss the wanted.

Although if you consider all those home users sitting behind a small
router/firewall, maybe the term "most" will apply, for some value of "most".
