Why does everybody bring up VNC when talking about how bad X11 is over
remote networks? VNC is *much* worse for every application I have ever
cared about. And not by a little bit, either.
The other is to use

details and NoMachine <http://www.nomachine.com> for a demo. FreeNX is
surprisingly usable over a 56kbps connection.

That's what you need to do, but, man, that code must suck to maintain.
