I dumped sendmail long ago. A quick look in that dir showed everything was old, and almost all of it was on one or two days. Probably corresponds with recent Internet virus days or days when my mail service provider was down. That takes care of question 1, and thanks Deke, jhriv, et al. Now I have to figure out why today is bad.
