It means I didn't check my .muttrc before filling in an internym. In my .muttrc, I have: set alternates = "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" ...however, email from my wife shows up as email from me to me. So what I want is a way to say "Everything that matches this pattern is an alternate address, EXCEPT for this other pattern." > tell you what I do, and you may be able to apply it to your situation: > > I have a few folders where I want my From: to be different than my > normal From:. I use the following: > > # always start with a clean slate > folder-hook . unmy_hdr From: > folder-hook . unset envelope_from > #kplug/IN > folder-hook kplug/IN my_hdr From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > folder-hook kplug/IN set envelope_from > #debian > folder-hook debian my_hdr From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > folder-hook debian set envelope_from Hm. I wasn't unsetting anything, although I was using the folder-hook trick. Nice way to keep various "personalities" organized. -Stewart "Alas, still using an older version of mutt on this box" Stremler -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
