This is a positive action. It is still dependent upon something else
being available. Given all the flap over region codes, I see that most
DVD's carry region codes. Given then flap over CSS, I see that most
DVD's use CSS.

Where is this elusive ``something else'' to buy? I guess there is always

Again, this is a positive action. It suffers the same lack-of-options as
buying something else does. Your friends will look at you and say ``what
else is there to buy?''

Thisis probably the most assertive stance provided. This one could also
cause a backlash if not done carefully enough. It also depends where
this is done, if you end up tilting at windmills.

I tend to agree. But the closer you are to armed conflict, the closer
you are to actually being able to acheive your will. Even if what you
are armed with is a pen and battalion of lawyers.
