Actually, he is quite correct. I am on a mailing list where people (not a computer oriented list so they aren't all that technologically knowledgable) often put "DO NOT ARCHIVE" at the end of their posts. A lot of people who post to the list see this and start doing the same things themselves as if it actually does anything. Of course I archive all of the posts on my website anyway and do not honor "remove me from your archive" requests. I once got kicked off of a mailing list for archiving it. I forget which list it was. It is sort of like those ridiculous legal statements saying you are obligated not to read and to immediately destroy any misdirected emails.
