Okay, given that Joe's dead, and that the copyright on his painting has expired, and that people like Joe's work, and given that what you /really/ mean is _copies_ of Joe's painting can now be sold, then NO, I wouldn't feel bad at all possessing or selling copies of Joe's painting.

I like to think that were Joe still around (but alas, still quite dead to the earth), he'd be flattered.

I know I would be. I can't think of a much greater legacy than people still interested in possessing my work long after I'm dead.
