I'm trying to put Debian on an IBM ThinkPad T42 laptop.
It goes to sleep 10 min after boot up and won't come out

I can't see anything in BIOS that is doing this. I turned off
SUSPEND and HIBERNATE modes.
Anyone seen this?
Chris
Could be Debian. Disable APM.
C.
APM is a service. It's also pretty much deprecated by ACPI. You need
apmd disabled and acpid enabled.
Also check here http://acpi.sourceforge.net/ for more help. There is an
acpi module specific to IBM that you might need to load.
