It should stay up indefinitely, but of course that all depends on what
you're running and doing. And the fact that you're running "unstable"
makes it a little less... "stable"... (:
My laptop and a couple other run unstable. I'd say it's still as good
or better than Microsoft's "stable" versions. But I have several Debian
boxes running stable (maybe some testing) and KDE sits there almost
forever sometimes. I know I have a 120mhz box that just sits there
running XMMS to play the music for our office and it will sit there
happy as can be until I mess with it. I think it was like 6 months
before I rebooted it. I have another old box that just sits there with
a webcam so I can see out my window. That never crashes either.

How long might one expect a KDE session to stay up? Mine crashed after about a

I'm running Debian unstable. The computer itself has be up 18 days without other
trouble. I think it's actually more stable that the power I buy from SDG&E.
