I would use some sort of SAN (fibre, iscsi, AoE, whatever) RAID so the
disk is not physically tied to the blade. And perhaps use Xen for
migration so the OS isntance is not physically tied to the blade either.
Now you can replace disks AND blades without ever having downtime.
