I just got issue number 4 earlier this week. It's not really helpful
to a Linux person per se. But is it useful for people who like to
play, which includes the majority of Linux users.

There are projects that require software to run. Like building a
magnetic stripe reader or building a LP to MP3 converter. Being not
much of a maker in reality, I like the fact that the projects are
general enough to allow one to pick out details and get ideas for all
sorts of stuff. I also like the interviews and "manifestos" and the
like. Last issue (I think) had an article on life hacking: how to get
more productivity out of your day (without using coffee!), and how to
reconfigure your sleep schedule when you need to. (Cold turkey is
ineffective.)
