Completely agreed. I have extensive experience. Airlink is a pest. Fry's is clueless and heartless. That said, I went to CCC and got a d-link to try for the easy fix, and _that_ sucker had the dreaded TI ACX100/111 chip in it. Sal even looked it up in the Linux compatibility web site, but evidently they changed the chip. Bottom line: be afraid ... be very afraid. I expect Sal will take the d-link back because it was bought on the works-with-Linux promise. But that still leaves me with the Airlink. The original post question still stands, although this has been a pleasant diversion ;-) -- Lan Barnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] Linux Guy, SCM Specialist 858-354-0616 -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
