It has ... and it hasn't. I tried that two nights ago, as described --
removed power plug, waited until LEDs for eth0 had gone out, replaced
plug, turned on first try.

I thought I had it. Then I tried the same workaround last night. No
workee. Sad Lan.

It warm boots fine. I have to suspect power management before HW just on
the Law of Suspecting the Easiest Fix First.

But before I can test anything, I gotta get it to power up. Maybe if I
short out whatever pins clear the BIOS ...
