Where have you been for the last 6 years?! It has been at least that
long since I have had to enter a modeline.
Actually, I have had to do it when hooking a FC box up to some older,
off brand, monitors. X sets the resolution too high sometimes on the
install. I've never had to it on a well-known brand name monitor or
anything newer than three years old.
