Hosted SSL VPN servicess...???
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a hosted SSL
VPN service for connecting from a unsecurie connection

I follow the HostAP, IPW2200, NetworkManager, ACPI4Linux, and ACPI4Asus
dev lists and my impression is that software VPN's (e.g. vpnc) do not
work well, if at all, right now with WiFi. Work is being done to improve
things, but how well it's going to work for you (I'm assuming you'd like
to set up secure laptop connections via WiFi) very much depends on the
brand and hardware configuration of the laptop.
Or any computer for that matter. WiFi is more stable under Linux for
desktops than for laptops mainly because laptop hardware varies so much
from model to model. It's also very common for laptops to ship with
buggy DSDT files which misreport or mishandle the laptop's hardware.
