All,
Do you all have an opinion on the best laptop ? By "best" I mean it meets the following requirements:

Must Have's:
All the stuff is supported, video, Wireless, modem, NIC, USB, etc. without major hassle by popular Linux Distros (RH must be one of them)... "Best" would actually have NO hassles on all the major distros. Decent Battery life or aux battery bay is a must. Must support 1Gb or RAM min. Must have some pretty decent warranty service plan. My old Dell has some plan on it that basically I can leave on top of my car and drive away... covered. That's "best", but 3yrs on-site standard warranty service is ok. Must have Serial port built in to the back of the laptop.. no adapters or docking station required. Must have CDROM/DVD in the chassis (removable is good), no external adapters or power plugs.

Nice to have's:
80Gb *5400 rpm* HDD. Capable of over 1Gb of RAM. Works like above with BSD OSes.

Thanks for your input !
Mike
