Better read that AUP first. From what I've read several places, the wireless phone companies don't want you using your cell phone for anything Internet unless it's squeezed through their portals and partners. And apparently, that means next to nothing useful to anyone but the phone company (i.e. income). Useful bandwidth is said to be almost nonexistent.

Before trying new technology from major infrastructure providers for which usage is paid on a per incident basis, I would look hard at the fine print on the contract.

Our cellular products use a data only service. They are specifically for Internet connections to a server in a similar manner as you'd use a dial-up modem, with the exception that you can connect to any server that understands the modem protocol. In other words, if you bought one, purchased airtime from some provider (there's a few), you could connect to one of my servers once I installed the software.

Our modems are not cell phones, they are data modems.
