Battery conservation: Running laptop on AC only without battery.....??
in *some* laptops this is not safe, that battery is required! at least for continous use my newish compaq says while the power is on not to leave the battery out for any longer than to replace with another battery
Is it better to a laptop without the battery to avoid putting a load on it....?? Would this help preserve the battery or is there a auto cut off switch when the battery is fully charged...??
only the oldest of laptops running nicad's will have a problem with overcharging
