Make sure you have: pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com port 110 for incoming smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com port 25 for outgoing And make sure the server type is "POP3" for incoming mail. Also, you have to have let SBC Yahoo! know that you're accessing your mail. Log in on the web, go to Options in the upper right hand corner, click "Pop Access and Forwarding" and make sure "Web and Pop Access" is selected. Make sure your username, password, and method of access are right. In Evolution, for example, there is a "login" method and, separately, a "password" method. Fortunately, there's a button to let me "check for supported types", which shows that my POP3 server supports only "password". I doubt that it's a problem with Thunderbird, SBC Yahoo!, or the combination. It's likely some setting somewhere. -todd -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
