Quoting Stewart Stremler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

$1/song is viable already. Apple has shown that. Just because you're
too cheap (and I) doesn't mean it's not viable.

With iTunes music store.. I've found that I like the new recommendations bits.
I rarely listen to the radio anymore so I don't hear a lot of new music, but
I like to see their new additions and recommendations.. and then sample them
before buying.

I much prefer this type of system where I can sample every song on an album
(sure it's only 30 seconds per song but that's better then it was when
looking to buy a CD at the store and only knowing 1 song). Then I can choose
to buy the whole thing if I like it, or only buy the song(s) I like.

I've actually ended up buying a lot of whole albums this way because I liked
the samples and have ended up enjoying the entire albums. I spend all day at
work with iTunes running through full albums (I like to do random play albums)
then use my iPod to listen to specific songs I've put into a playlist as I'm
choosier in the car or walking.

I'd hate to lose this system that I've grown accustomed to and have to go back
to the old days of hearing 1 song on the radio, then spending $15 or more for
a CD and finding I only like the 1 song.
