It's "almost-but-not-quite" Visual Basic.

RealBasic is a waste. They had the opportunity to be Visual Basic when Microsoft dumped Visual Basic (and changed to Visual Basic .Net which is not even close to Visual Basic). If they had just spent the effort to fix the last 5% which made them incompatible with Visual Basic, they would have *owned* Microsoft.

Talk about blowing an opportunity.
