How ironic. ;-)

But in order to provide any possible solutions, you'll need to provide more information. Like

o How have you set up the router?
o Are you using encryption (WEP, WPA, etc.)? If so, what?
o What changes might you have made prior to the problem?
o Did you change anything on the router's client(s)?
o Does this problem exist for only one client or all?
o Are all config parameters for the Netgear set identically
to their counterparts on the Airlink?
o Any new interference in your house or neighborhood
(cordless phones, other networks, microwave ovens
  in an endless loop)?
o Have you tried other channels?
o What do the blinkenlights tell you?

That's a start.

Hi Randall,

Are using the router to connect to the Internet or
as an Access Point?? I have found that if the WAN port
isn't connected to a DSL/cable modem (Access Point mode),
then the wireless won't broadcast (Wireless icon won't
light).

I could not get a Linksys wireless router to work on my LAN in combination with an Ethernet router. Apparently, some consumer wireless routers assume they are directly connected to the Cable/DSL modem, and won't work if connected to another router.

Or it was just me. I gave up, returned the wireless router and replaced it with a wireless access point. Problem solved.

I have found that putting a bogus static WAN IP
address in the unit will activate the wireless broadcast.
I've had to do this on many Netgear wireless routers that I'm
using as an Access Point.

good luck

Today my Netgear router stopped connecting for some
reason. Tried reconfiguring the router, but this did not help. The
router worked for awhile, but stopped connecting.

Hooked up my airlink and it's working. So the
Netgear wireless router seems to be the problem. Also tried upgrading the
firmware, but this did not help. Does anyone have any other suggestions for
testing the router.
Or since the Netgear is still relatively new should
I send it back to netgear.
