I have looked at ENBD and GNBD but AoE is a layer 2 protocol. This means
it is not routable (desirable for security reasons in my application)
and has less overhead due to not being TCP/IP. AoE devices can be
exported as ENBD or GNBD devices if routing over the Internet is required.
