I don't know how yum works, but with apt-get you can put specific packages 'on hold' to keep them from being upgraded. I learned to do this with my kernels and most recently Xorg. I keep the kernel on hold so I don't have to recompile my vmware modules every few weeks. And I had to 'downgrade' my xorg because Debian did something highly irregular with their xorg packages that kept X from starting. But I digress...
If you revert to FC3, is it possible to put the madwifi (or whatever packages you need to keep working) on hold and then upgrade the rest of the bunch? -Mike -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
