Job Responsibilities

The Unix System Administrator will take a primary role in supporting development environments in our fast moving Internet business unit. This position will also be involved in supporting DivX Inc.’s website properties and online video on demand infrastructure, as well as various new Internet facing product offerings. This candidate must be comfortable working in an enterprise Internet environment with a team of other system and network administrators, as well as in fast-paced, highly dynamic development environments.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Work primarily with our Internet business unit in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Proactive system management to provide maximum uptime
Resolve technical system issues
Develop technical solutions to satisfy business needs
Follow documentation and escalation procedures
24 x 7 on call availability
Work with content development, network and other groups to ensure smooth operations
