My company, Alaris Medical Systems, in Sorrento Valley, has 4 - 5
openings for experienced Software Quality Engineers. Two of these are
for the SQE automation team (lots of scripting) and 2 - 3 for the more
traditional SQE slots.

SQEs are as respected as developers here and salaries are comparable.
It's a great work environment, relaxed and friendly, mission oriented,
highly productive, and lots of responsibility and decision making pushed
down with management backing and support.

We make medical devices (embedded) and ancillary PC products. The
development and desktop is Microsoft oriented, although there is
latitude to broaden that if it can be justified. But don't set your
heart on being anything but a Microsoft person, at least at first.

We are regulated by the FDA, so experience in SQE in a regulated
industry is a big plus.

There is a bounty on new hires, so if you feel qualified and are
interested, write me _off-list_ and we can arrange for me to submit your
resume directly. It gives you a bit of a leg up.

My standard offer is, if I get the hiring bonus, I will take you and a
significant other to dinner (neither "out" nor "expensive" promised or
implied).
