TurboGears is built from the best of all the existing
Python web projects out there...SQLObject,
CherryPy, ElementTree, MochiKit, etc.
The communities for those already exist.

Django leadership seems to prefer to build everything in house
for some reason.  They don't seem to be fishing for common
ground like TurboGears.

I suppose it is possible a community could grow around
Django but guys at Pycon weren't sure.
