Hi all,

Hope this finds all of you doing good - well at least most of ya :)

I am looking for a Unix / Windows admin that is VERY strong in the
Unix arena - Sun and also RedHat Enterprise and is at least a mid
level windows person.

Ideal skill set is enterprise skills with Unix / Linux cluster and
load balancing. Current linux cluster consists of 45 penguin
servers and will grow to 100+ in next 3 months. Cluster is used for
ASIC simulations, etc. for our chipset design.

Person needs to have experience working with software / hardware
design tools such as Cadence, Perforce, Wiki sites, etc. Also a baby
Oracles DB is in the mix.

We also have a NetApp FAS3000 series running NFS and CIFS. Must be
familiar with backup solutions - Veritas and snapshots, permissions,
trunking interfaces together on NetApp, etc.

Over on Windows side I need you to be average on the Windows side -
2003 in particular. Alot of basic stuff but definetly need to be
able to make Windows play with the unix / linux world.

Company is young startup developing chipsets / standards for WiMax.
We are well funded - about 400 mil in the bank. WILL be going public
soon and currently have main office of about 200 users here in San
Diego and I am the IT Manager of all things.

This position would report to me but have a great deal of latitude as
I don't know squat about Linux / Unix.

You would need to more than likely start out on a contract for 3 - 6
months at which time be brought in as an employee. Pay rate I am
looking at is 70 to 90k plus bonus and options.

Needless to say it is like any other startup - long and sometimes
stressful hours, but if you are good and want to roll the dice again
on options drop me a line.

Lastly - the engineers we have are truly the cream of the crop with
quite a few having been flown in / relocated from around the world
literally. They have went after nothing but the best and stolen alot
of top talen from the likes of Qualcom, Nokia, Sprint, etc.

Thanks and take care to all.

Michael
