I can't really understand what I might be getting into, but this sounds
interesting, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience or warnings
regarding OpenVPN? I hate to get into something and then have to waste a lot
of time firefighting.

The fact that it works across multiple platforms sounds nice (depending on how
true it is).
"OpenVPN is a cross-platform solution that runs on Linux, Windows 2000/XP and
higher, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris."

But I'm not sure what they are really talking about here and whether it would
be a problem for me?
"Note that OpenVPN is an SSL VPN and as such is not compatible with IPSec,
L2TP, or PPTP. The main advantage of SSL VPNs is that they exchange the
complexity of IPsec for the simple, well tested SSL/TLS structure for their
cryptographic layer."

Frankly, I never heard of IPSec, L2TP or PPTP before... But there are many
things I never heard of before... Maybe I don't need them?

Any comments?

Thanks,
Wayne Jr
