Slackware: The best 1994 has to offer.
In its time, Slackware was neat. I don't think I'd ever go back to it
nowadays, though, as it's old, antiquated, and nothing really works with
it anymore. I'd, if I were you, install a more current distribution.
You'd probably have better luck!
Good in the user-friendly areas are Ubuntu, Fedora Core, and Mandriva.
I'd try one of those -- they're a bit more sane :D
