You're right.  They've caused no problems.

In any experimenting, you may wish to avoid booting to any version of
Windows until/unless you convince yourself that it won't go _fixing_
things up for you.

I've booted into a Windows.  There are no Windows-friendly partitions
on this disk, and I think Windows has left it alone.
