Mechanized farming on a hillside is just a pain. Leave the hills to the hand intensive crops (tea, vanilla, coffee(?)).

Well, the saying goes that there is no problem that can't be solved by the suitable application of high explosives. Though, as the chemistry set thread showed, getting your hands on suitable materials is getting much harder.
