As long as you:

a) Grab the source RPM
b) Change the spec file version and preparation section and add a
--prefix=/path/to/3.23
c) Build the RPM
d) 
d) Go back and edit the spec file, change version and prefix to
--prefix=/path/to/4.1
e) Build the new RPM

You now might be able to install both.
