I'm having problems accessing the Internet (both Web and email) with the
latest Fedora kernels. This happens on both FC4 and FC5. If I boot to
the previous kernel, no problem.
I've looked at everything I know about to see what has changed:
firewalls turned off, SELinux turned off, IPv6 turned off, DNS addresses
and resolution checked (and even changed to other addresses), plus the
usual googling (oops, did I just verb that trademark!).
Oddly, some URI's will load into the browser, most don't. It seems that
the ones which do don't use any Javascript. Of course that means I can't
even access either my NAS or router via browser. The problem occurs in
all browsers I've tried so far.
Email works from my ISP (Cox), but not for my own domains hosted elsewhere.
I tried looking at an eth0 capture from Sharkwire while the browser was
loading tabs, but I'm too ignorant to understand what to look for in
Sharkwire's output. IOW, I didn't see anything obvious, except several
entries about incorrect checksums (mumbling something else about
"checksum offloading?").
Are there any new esoteric wrinkles/features/gotchas now in the kernel
that would affect WAN access (LAN is fine)?
