Intersil Prism 2.x wifi cards seem to work with
either HostAP or Orinoco wifi drivers.
How can I find out WHICH my eth0 (wifi) is using?
When I do lsmod I see BOTH!!!?! :)
# lsmod | grep orinoco
orinoco_pci 7040 0
orinoco 37556 1 orinoco_pci
hermes 7456 2 orinoco_pci,orinoco
# lsmod | grep hostap
hostap_pci 51856 0
hostap 107620 1 hostap_pci
ieee80211_crypt 5664 1 hostap
cs
But isn't HostAP specifically a _Host_AP_ driver (Host Access Point)?
HostAP was created so you could use your WiFi card as an access point.
Orinoco is a driver for using the card in the usual way.
So, assuming that the two drivers are for different purposes, I'd say
they're both using the same port.
